Dr. Chao Zuo is a professor in optical engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST), China. He leads the Smart Computational Imaging Laboratory (SCILab: www.scilaboratory.com) at the School of Electronic and Optical Engineering, NJUST, and is also the founder and director of the Smart Computational Imaging Research Institute of NJUST. He has long been engaged in the development of novel Computational Optical Imaging and Measurement technologies, with a focus on Phase Measuring Imaging Metrology. He has authored over 180 peer-reviewed journal publications and one book, including more than 110 papers published in JCR Q1 journals (e.g., Light, Optica, Adv. Photon.) with over 10,000 citations. These researches have been featured on journal cover 22 times and highlighted by Nature, Light. Sci. Appl., SPIE Newsroom, CLP Newsroom, and Optica Image of the Week. Due to his seminal contributions to computational phase imaging techniques, Prof. Zuo received the first prize of the Technical Invention Award of Chinese Society of Optical Engineering (CSOE) (2020), the first prize of the Science and Technology Award, Jiangsu, China (2020), and "Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury" at Geneva's International Exhibition of Inventions (2022), etc. Prof. Zuo is also the recipient of JPhys Photonics Emerging Leaders (2020), China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation and Promotion Award (2021), Rising Star of Light - Faculty & Postdoc Track Popescu Winner Award (2022), ICO-IUPAP Young Scientist Prize in Optics (2022) and listed among the Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researchers, Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researchers, and World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University for consecutive years. He is a Fellow of Optica (formerly OSA), Senior Member of SPIE, and also serving an Associate Editor of Optics and Lasers in Engineering, Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, and Frontiers in Photonics, and a Topical Editor of PhotoniX, and Photonics.
左超，教授、博士生导师。南京理工大学智能计算成像实验室（SCILab: www.scilaboratory.com）学术带头人。研究方向为计算光学成像与光信息处理技术，在非干涉定量相位显微成像、高速结构光三维传感等领域取得系列研究成果。已在SCI源刊上发表论文180余篇，其中22篇论文被选作Light、Optica等期刊封面论文，20篇论文入选ESI高被引论文/热点论文，论文被引超过10000次。入选国家“优青”、江苏省“杰青”、科睿唯安全球高被引科学家、Elsevier中国高被引学者，获国际应用和纯物理协会（IUPAP-ICO）光学青年科学家奖、日内瓦国际发明展 “特别嘉许金奖”、中国光学工程学会技术发明一等奖、江苏省科学技术奖基础类一等奖等。左超教授现为美国光学学会会士（Optica Fellow）, 国际光学工程学会高级会员（SPIE Senior Member）, 任Optics and Lasers in Engineering、PhotoniX、Microwave and Optical Technology Letters、《激光与光电子学进展》等期刊编辑，《红外与激光工程》、中国激光杂志社青年编委等。培养研究生5人次获全国光学工程优秀博士论文/提名，4人次获得中国光学学会王大珩光学奖，5人次入围Light全国光学博士生学术竞赛全国百强，获全国“挑战杯”、“互联网+”、“创青春”、“研电赛”特等奖/金奖十余次，8人次获南京理工大学学生最高荣誉“校长奖章”。
